This is a very wide angle lens they call a fisheye because of its distorted view. There are full image fisheyes and circular fisheyes - this one is circular, it places a circular image on the image sensor with the corners cut off.

The image circle has a sliver of the top and bottom cut off when it projects on the sensor.

Testing the lens on APS-C camera, When you stop the aperture to f/4.0 or beyond, you will astonished by how much details is being packed into those images. It's also an f2 lens, which means it's better for indoor use. It delivers a seriouly clean picture. It's lack of chromatic aberration, and quite minimal vignetting, the flaring and distortion are also well controlled | Bokeh. You’d think that bokeh would be a pretty redundant issue on a circular fisheye lens, and it mostly is. But with Meike 6.5mm lens, at wide maximum aperture of f/2, you can see how sharp the lens is at close distance. As you can see, the bokeh looks quite smooth. |
